Community Wide Standards for Lawn Maintenance

Developed to establish the standards for the overall appearance of Foxcroft lawns.

1. Grass should be healthy at all times during the growing months and adequately cared for year round (including regular weed control, fertilization, watering and insect control) in order to maintain healthy, living grass.
2. Grass shall be maintained at a height of no less than 2 inches and no taller than 5 inches.
3. Lawns shall be maintained with an adequate covering of grass, trees and shrubbery. In general, no more than 10% of the total lawn should be barren of grass or covered with weeds.
4. Flower, tree and shrub beds shall not be allowed to present an overgrown and weedy appearance.
5. Trees and shrubs shall be properly pruned to maintain a neat and manicured appearance.
6. Dead trees and shrubs shall be removed within a timely manner.
7. Leaves and other debris shall be removed from the lot within a timely manner and disposed of properly.
8. All lawn standards shall be evaluated as viewed from the curb or adjacent property.
9. Conversion of grass areas from lawn to beds or other non-grass areas requires prior approval of the Foxcroft Architectural Committee
